Harvest to Table: A pop-up Sukkot celebration
Join JArts, Kitchen Kibitz, and Ganei Beantown in a delicious celebration of the fall harvest. Created by Chef Ivan of Branch Line, we’ll experience Sukkot through a three-course meal: salad with etrog dressing, family style herb roast chicken, roast cauliflower, seasonal vegetables, harvest punch, and more. Rabbi Elan Babchuck of Clal: The National Jewish Center for Learning and Leadership will share insight into the holiday as we dine on the patio (à la sukkah), savor the seasonal bounty, and explore the rituals and mysticism of the Sukkot harvest festival.

Creating Sustainable Synagogues
Hosting by the Synagogue Council of MA, an evening to learn about options and opportunities for your synagogue to engage in environmentally sustainable learning, practice, lectures, and holiday programs. Build community and meet other congregational leaders engaging in these same issues.

Post Sukkot Gleaning
Join Ganei Beantown for a day of gleaning the harvest with Boston Area Gleaners. Boston Area Gleaners distributes high-quality, locally grown produce to food banks, pantries, and meal programs by working closely with farmers, and providing volunteer labor to harvest what would otherwise be plowed under. Gleaning s a biblical idea of collecting surplus crops from farmers’ fields for those in need.
