Boston Jewish Food Conference
April 3, 2016 @ 12:00 pm - 7:00 pm
The 5th annual Boston Jewish Food Conference brings together community members from all over New England to foster new connections in the Jewish community by utilizing food and agriculture to discuss the intersections of justice, sustainability, and culture against a background of Jewish traditions and contemporary life.
The day includes multiple workshops (in the kitchen and classroom) and culminates in a community Shuk (marketplace), featuring dinner prepared by conference participants, do-it-yourself activities, advocacy opportunities, tabling by community organizations and our silent auction.
Our focus this year is on the whole food system, and how in the age of industry, feeding millions and often lacking in transparency, we are pieces of this great puzzle. We’ll look at some of the inputs, outputs and ramifications of our food choices as we nourish our bodies and whole selves, and work to feed the world in a just and sustainable manner.
