We’ve had a great July with our volunteers in the Temple Israel organic vegetable garden, we planting eggplant starts, in both a raised bed and then building a new terraced side bed:
In the spring the Religious School second graders plant cucumber seeds in their classrooms, then transplant them into the garden. If they are around during the summer, we invite them to come harvest the cucumbers, and anything else that’s ready. Last week we harvested garlic too:

One of our constant struggles in the garden is the little critters. We built a new anti-pest system (it’s both loud and reflective):
